Even today the prosperous living style and cultural values are being maintained by the efforts and devotion of the artists. Religious centers have become the supporting centers to the arts and by the adoration of the art the mind gets delighted and also the culture becomes prosperous, said Kundapura Asst. Commissioner B. Sadashiva Prabhu.
He was speaking at Shrikshethra Bantakal Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple upon felicitating talented artist Jagadish Shivapura of Jr. Rajkumar fame during the religious and cultural programs on Wednesday. Bharathanatya child artist Vishvalatha Prabhu Belman was also felicitated on this occasion.
Shrikshethra Senior Archaka Vedamurthy K. Vedavyasaraya Bhat gave asheervachana to the artists. The program was presided over by Shrikshethra Management Committee President Sadambailu Shashidara Wagle. Coordinator of the program B. Pundalika Marathe with the introductory note welcomed the guests. Usha Marathe and Shrinidhi Marathe were present on the dias. Earlier Bantakal Karnataka Bank Manager Vittala Wagle inaugurated the 9 days cultural program by lighting the lamp. Rajapura Saraswatha Yuvavranda President K.R. Patkar compeered the program.
Later Jr. Rajkumar presented the performances of Dr. Rajkumar’s devotional songs and film songs with acting, which were appreciated by the audiences. Belman Vishwalatha Prabhu, Dikshitha Prabhu, Kumari Sneha performed Bharathanatya. Everyday evening from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm cultural programs will be presented organized by Rajapura Saraswatha Yuvavranda.
