Portrait of Late Smt. K. Sundari Shetty Unveiled in Edmer School

Moodubelle, 19 March 2010: The portrait picture of late Smt. K. Sundari Shetty, wife of the founder of the Shri Mahabhaleshwara Hindu Higher Primary School, Edmer was unveiled on Wednesday, 17th March 2010 during a brief function held in the school hall. Smt. Vinoda Shetty Edmer presided over the function and recalled the sacrifices that had been made by late K. Sundari Shetty for the progress of the school that was founded by her husband.

The function was attended by Mrs. Meera Lobo, Mrs. Jacinta Aranha, Mrs. Helen D’Souza, Mr. Mohandas Shetty Kapyadi-the President of the School Management Committee, senior teachers-Mr. Bhaskar Shetty and Mr. Sitaram Shetty, teachers-Mrs. Leelavati, Mrs. Asha, Miss Reshma and Mr. Sharad Nayak. The Head master of the School-Mr. N. Vivekananda Shetty conducted the programme and also gave the vote of thanks.

 

Mr. Vishnumurthi Bhat of Edmer formally lighted the lamp and garlanded the portrait of late Smt. K. Sundari Shetty. Other guests and teachers also paid their respect to late Smt. K. Sundari Shetty by offering garlands and flowers.

Late Smt. K. Sundari Shetty was the wife of late Shri Mahabhaleshwara Shetty who founded the Edmer Higher Primary School in 1928. They had one son and six daughters. Late Smt. K. Sundari Shetty was around 90 years old when she expired on 24th February 2010.
