Ganeshotsava celebrated with devotion and cultural programmes at Dendoorkatte

Moodubellle, 02 Sep 2011: The Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava which is in its fourth year was celebrated with great devotion and various sporting and cultural activities at Dendoorkatte on Thursday, September 1, 2011. The decorated idol of Ganesh was brought in procession and was installed with all religious rituals  on an elaborately decorated stage at the Dendoorkatte Junction. The Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava is being celebrated for three days  from 1 to 3 September 2011.

 

In the evening of September 1, 2011 the stage programme began at 5.30 pm presided over by Sakharam Shetty, President of Sarvajanik Shri Ganesh Samiti, Dendoor, Kalmanje. From 7 pm variety entertainment programme was organized by the local groups. From 9.30 pm mimicry and dance programme was presented by famous Kishore Kumar who has been performing within and outside India. Special attraction was skits and dances by Junior Vishnuvardhan (Jayashri Raj) Bangalore.

 

 

On September 2, 2011 from 5.30 pm there will be Yakshagana presentation by Shri Brahma Baidarkala Yakshagana Kala Mandali, Bolje, Udyavara who will enact Pauranik play “Shri Devi Kaushike”, followed by other cultural programmes. After religious rituals, the idol of Ganesh will be taken in procession at 4 pm on Saturday, September 3, 2011 and will be immersed thereafter.
