Sponsorship of Eighth Std. and Pratibha Puraskar for SSLC Students held in St. Lawrence KM HS, Moodu

Udupi/M’Belle, 16 June 2023: The programme of sponsoring the Eighth Standard students  for the academic year 2023-24 and felicitation of the SSLC students who had scored distinction marks in the last SSLC Examination was held in the St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High School on 12 June 2023.

 

Assistant Parish Priest of St. Lawrence Church, Fr. Pradeep Cardoza presided over  the programme. Pritish D’Sa-Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council was the chief guest. Joseph Martis, an alumnus of the school and businessman, Joseph Kunder, President of the Rotary Club, Manipur and Elias D’Souza, President of the Old Students Association were on the dais.

 

The Rotary Club, Manipura  has sponsored the educational material for the eighth standard students. Ganesh Poojary, the proprietor of the Asiatic Cranes, Mumbai has sponsored the uniform to these studenets. Gurraj Hebbar of the Hebbar Chemicals, Mumbai has sponsored the cost of the Spoken English Classes.

 

 

For the first time in the history of the school, Tanish Shetty of SSLC has scored 616 marks out of 625. His brief introduction was given by the Maths teacher, Stany Menezes. Tanish Shetty was felicitated on this occasion.

 

Mrs. Sunitha Kamath, Headmistress of St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High School made introductory remarks and welcomed the gathering.  John Castelino, English teacher compered the programme and Sudhir Naik, Kannada teacher proposed the vote of thanks.
