Konkan Sports Club Bangalore to Host Konkan Coastal Cup 2023

Bengaluru, 25 Marc 2023: The Konkan Sports Club in Bangalore is gearing up to host the Konkan Coastal Cup 2023, a 7-a-side men’s over arm cricket tournament taking place on March 26th, Sunday, at Suryodaya Ground in Sarjapur Road. The tournament aims to bring together Konkani-speaking Catholics from coastal areas, including Goa, Mangalore, Udupi, Kundapura, and the Malnad region, who have relocated to Bangalore for work.

 

With 14 teams participating, the tournament will consist of two pools, with the top four advancing to the semifinals and then to the final. Fr. Dominic Bhardwaj, Director of Suryodaya Boys Centre, will bless the event, which has received support from sponsors such as the Christian Seva Sangh (R) and leaders of the Federation of Konkani Catholic Association (FKCA Global), among others.

 

 

The Konkan Sports Club has a history of hosting similar tournaments for both men and women, and this year’s event will also include a Karaoke challenge. The tournament is coordinated by Rayan Miranda, Neermarga, and Roshan D’Souza, Moodubelle, along with enthusiastic committee members.
