Udupi/M’Belle, 07 Mar 2021: Elias D’Souza was elected as the president of the Old Students Association of St. Lawrence Composite PU College, Moodubelle for a period of three years (2021-2024) during the meeting of the alumni of the institution on Sunday, 7 March 2021 held at St. Lawrence PU College hall. Elias D’Souza is the editor-in-chief of Bellevision.com and proprietor of Civitech Engineering firm.
The other office bearers of the Old Students Association for the year 2021-2024 are: Leeladhar Kamath-Vice President, Maxim D’Sa -Immediate Past President, Devdas Hebbar - Honorary Founder President, Edward Larsen D’Souza - Honorary President, Mrs. Sunitha Kamath -Honorary Vice President, Mrs. Sujataha Suvarna - Secretary, Mrs. Pramitha Veera D’Souza - Joint Secretary, Denis Martis - Treasurer, Vincent Fernandes - Sports Secretary, Mrs. Sunitha Nayak - Joint Sports Secretary, Mrs. Nancy Aranha - Cultural Secretary.
Co-opted Members: Sudhakar Poojary - Panchayat President, Gerald Fernandes - Parish Council Vice President.
The Old Students Association meeting was presided over by the outgoing president Maxim D’Sa. Other dignitaries on the dais included Fr. Clement Mascarenhas - Correspondent of St. Lawrence educational Institutions, Edward Larsen D’Souza - Principal of St. Lawrence PU College, Mrs. Sunitha Kamath - Headmistress of St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High School, and Devdas Hebbar, the Founder President of the Old Students Association.
Fr. Clement Mascarenhas released the promotional video of the institution compiled by Anil Alva.
Speaking on this occasion, Fr. Clement Mascarenhas said that it is a matter of pride for St. Lawrence Educational Institutions that the alumni of these institutions have spread across the world. He made a special reference to Philip Mudartha, an alumnus of the institution who had secured first rank in the state of Karnataka in SSLC examination.
Principal Edward Larsen D’Souza in his address said that St. Lawrence Educational Institutions have rendered great service to the people of Moodubelle and surrounding areas.
