Udupi, 16 Nov 2020: Kallianpur deanery Committee of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh® paid a visit to ‘Appa Amma Anatalaya’ home for elderly destitute, here on Saturday November 14, to share the joys of Deepavali, festival of lights among the inmates.
Speaking on the occasion the Home administrator Prashant Koorady said, ‘There were over 40 destitute while a few have recovered after treatment and rejoined their respective families. At present, we have 24 destitute belonging to different faiths who are cared compassionately with the generous contributions of donors. The humanitarian deeds is indeed fulfilling,’ said Prashant.
Catholic Sabha Kallianur deanery president Rosy Baretto said, ‘We have chosen to visit Appa Amma Anatalaya in order to share the joys of Deepavali among the destitute and to uplift their spirits,’ said Rosy.
They distributed daily necessities including rice to the Home and sweets to inmates.
Kallianpur deanery Catholic Sabha pst president Santosh Cornelio, secretary Celine Colaco, treasurer Urban Lewis, office bearers Edward Larsen D’Souza, Suja D’Souza, Felix Pinto, Arun Kemmannu, Steven Prakash Lewis were present.
