Shirva: More than 150 people attend free Medical Camp

Shirva, 21 June 2011: In the public free Medical camp held at Shirva Samudaya Health Centre conducted by the Consulting Doctors of K.M.C. Hospital Manipal, more than 150 people had the benefit by attending. The consulting doctors in medicine, ENT, surgery, eye, skin, bone, gynecology and such about 12 departments took part in this camp.

 

The camp was inaugurated by Shirva Rotary President Edwin Rodrigues. Shirva Community Health Centre Medical Officer Dr. Vasudeva Upadyaya, Mangalore K.M.C. Hospital Dr. Poornachandra Thejaswi, Shirva Manchakal Lions Secretary Gregory Fernandes, Shirva Rotary Secretary Leo Noronha were the chief guests of the inaugural program. St. Mary’s Old Students Association President Dr. Gururaj welcomed the gathering and also compeered the program.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Udupi Taluk Panchayath President Kattingeri Devdas Hebbar, Lions Zonal Chairman Nandalike Suhas Hegde, Rotary District Deputy Governer K. R. Patkar, Senior doctor of Shirva Dr. K. R. Venkatakrishna visited the camp and expressed their appreciation.

 

Senior Rotarian S. Ismail, Raghupathi Aythal, Lucas D’Souza, Lingakumar of Canara Bank, Mathias Lobo, Herald Kutino, Rotary President Ronald Sequeira, Dr. Arun Hegde, Lion Norbert Machado had all contributed towards the success of this camp.

 

The camp was jointly organized by Shirva Rotary Club, Lions Club, St. Mary’s Old Students Association and Samudaya Health Centre Shirva.
