Kar former minister Ramanath Rai views Bahugram Drinking Water Project ready for inaugural

Bantwal, 25 Jun 2020: Karnataka former minister B Ramanath Rai viewed the most ambitious Bahugrama Drinking Water Project that was undertaken at a cost of 18.29 crores nearing completion and ready for inaugural in the limits of Narikombu gram panchayat, near here on Tuesday, Jun 23. Bantwal taluk panchayat president Chandrahas Karkera was also present.

 

Addressing the media persons, Rai Bahugram Drinking Water Project will supply water to the 38 colonies of Narikombu, Shamboor, Baltila, Goltamajalu and Amtoor villages. The experimental supply was tested and proven to be efficient despite my apprehensions. It’s the project that brought immense happiness to me, said Rai.

 

 

In Dakshina Kannada district only 5 Bahugrama Drinking Water Projects are sanctioned for Bantwal taluk, while four are already commissioned and are much beneficial to the people, added Rai.

 

Bahugrama Drinking Water Project was conceived with long range plan of 50 years that would the supply water to several homes, added Rai.

 

Rai also thanked former CM Siddaramaiah for sanctioning the Project in his term and government officials for executing the project to perfection.

 

Bantwal taluk panchayat vice president Abbas Ali, steering committee president Mallika V Shetty, ZP member Chandraprakash Shetty, Bantwal taluk panchayat member Gayatri Ravindra, Mani gram panchayat member Sudhip Kumar Shetty, local leaders Prakash Karant, Krishnappa Poojary, Chandrashekar Poojary, Umesh, Albert, Umesh Nelligudde, Madhav Karbettu, government official Jagdish and others were present.
