Mangaluru, 20 Feb: We got to be torchbearers to society by following the ideals of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. If we embody the grit and courage of Shivaji; we can achieve anything, said Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy president Dayanand G Kattalsar.
Dayanand was speaking after inaugurating Chatrapati Shivaji Jayanti that was jointly organized by Karnataka Kshatriya Marata Parishat®, DK district and Arya Yane Marata Samaja Sangha – Mangaluru® in association with Kannada and culture, ZP at Nandini Auditorium of Karnataka state Government Employees Association, here on Wednesday, February 19.
In his keynote address, Canara High School teacher Ravindranat Shetty said, ‘Chatrapati Shivaji Jayanti is not limited a specific community, group and tribe. He is a national leader of contemporary India.’
DK district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura presided the programme.
