Beltangady, 05 Feb: After the colorful procession, 216 vessels of milk, ghee, turmeric and other ingredients were anointed to the feet of Bhagawan Bahubali, at Ratnagiri, Sri Kshetra Dharmastala, here on Tuesday, February 4 morning.
In his message, Swami Lalitakirti of Karkala Jain Basadi said, ‘The world is ridden with injustice, hatred and violence that make us to ponder over Bhagawn Bahubali’s teachings of non violence and sacrifice.’
India is a cradle of Indian culture; while Bhagawan Bahubali’s teachings on non violence, perseverance, control over 5 senses and other human virtues will restore communal harmony, love for fellowmen. The devotion to Lord will bring us closer to him emulating his divine qualities in our life. That is exemplified in Sanskrit verse, ‘Vande Tadguna Labdaye’ which means we pray to God to grow in His divine qualities through our prayers.
Swami Kshullakadyana Sagar also delivered religious discourse on the occasion.
Sri Kshetra Dharmastala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade, Hemavati V Heggade, D Harshendra Kumar, Supriya Harshendra Kumar, Dr B Yasho Varma, Sonia Varma and Heggade family members were present.
Karnataka former minister K Abayachandra Jain was also present.
