Mangaluru, 24 Jan: Nidec-Read, Japan - one of the world’s leading Automotive and Robotics Company signed MoU with Nitte (Deemed to be University), here on January 23, for providing internships to the students of Engineering at Nitte.
Kiyomu Yamaguchi, CFO and Senior Vice President of the Company and Katsumi Kasano, Chief Manager GA & Human Resources represented Nidec in the MoU signing ceremony.
NV Hegde, Chancellor, Nitte (Deemed to be University), Dr Shantharam Shetty, Pro-Chancellor, Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhadary, Vice-Chancellor, Dr M S Moodithaya, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof Harikrishna Bhat, Director (International Collaborations – Asia Pacific), Dr P S Prakash, Dean, K S Hegde Medical Academy, Dr Harsha Halahalli, Director (Curriculum Development) and Yasuko Sato, Japanese Linguist were present on the occasion.
The company would also be providing placement to students of Nitte and establish a Centre of Excellence for collaborative research. Nitte has already started working with three more Japanese companies for internships, placements and collaborative research in emerging areas of Engineering. For ensuring that the students recruited by these companies merge well with the Japanese culture, a soft skill development program including Japanese language component is also launched at Nitte.
