Mangaluru, 12 Nov: In order to pay tribute to Father of Nation - Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary, the information and PR department unveiled 3-day exhibition on the life of Mahatma Gandhi and his non-violence movement at Mini Vidhan Soudha, B C Road, here on Monday, November 11.
Bantwal Tahsildar Rashi offered floral tributes to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and launched the exhibition.
Addressing the media persons, Rashmi said, ‘The exhibition shed light on different aspects on the life of Mahatma including few rare scenes of freedom struggle.’
DK district information officer Khadershah welcomed the gathering and briefed about the objectives of the exhibition.
The exhibition that was organized in the auditorium of Bantwal taluk panchayat has info about Mahatma, major events including marital life with Kasturba, Agha Khan Palace, demise of Kasturba during his hunger strike, weaving on tradition wheel, his visits to Karnataka, attending Uroos ceremonies, animal love etc.
