Udupi: Organizations Protest against Ramdev arrest

Udupi, 06 June 2011: Under the leadership of Bharath Swabhiman Trust, various organizations protested the actions taken by the government on the fasting movement conducted under the leadership of Baba Ramdev with a procession throughout the city on Sunday and then protested in front of Gandhi statue. On this occasion the rolling circumambulation (urulu seve) was conducted.

 

 

In the silent procession Shree Rama Sene leader Promod Muthalik participated with a cloth tied on his mouth. In the public protest assembly, freedom fighter Lakshminarayana Sharma Bantakal, Managing Trustee Umesh Kotyan, Vishwanatha Bhat of Pathanjali Yoga Samithi, Ramakrishna Sharma from Krashika Sangha, Entrepreneur Ramesh Bangera, Subhashith, Municipality members; Shyamprasad Kudva, Panduranga Malpe, Devendra Prabhu, Vasudeva Bhat and others participated.

 

On this occasion the activists; Anantharaja Shenoy, Mahesh Shenoy, Shrikanahta Nayak, Sathya and others performed the rolling circumambulation (urulu seve) around the Gandhi circle.
