Is this Anna v/s Baba movement?

Sunday, 05 June 2011: Is this Anna v/s Baba movement? The protest movement by Baba Ramdev has raised several doubts, such as; Baba is preparing to launch himself actively into politics through the platform of fasting movement, the UPA Government in the center has set up Baba to fail the recent fasting movement by Anna Hazare which was successful up to certain extent, as a last weapon BJP has launched Baba to somehow pull down the UPA government in the center, Baba who is a supporter of Hinduism and BJP is playing this ploy of fasting movement himself to bring down the UPA government and bring BJP government into power ….etc.etc.

 

 

Whatever the doubts are, it is true that there is a hidden agenda behind the fasting movement of Baba. Because, while Anna Hazare conducted the fasting movement and succeeded up to certain extent (did not succeed completely, there is no possible chances that our politicians will allow that either!) Baba supported him. And now for the same purpose, was there any need to conduct a fasting movement again? The answer to this is the hidden agenda! And the question - what is that hidden agenda? is haunting the common man.

 

A month ago when Baba Ramdev visited Udupi, he expressed unhappiness on the fasting movement of Anna Hazare. He said that, with Anna in Delhi only 10 thousand people joined for the fasting movement. But if I call 10 crores of my followers countrywide will get ready for the fasting movement, he said. This fasting movement he could have done before Anna did it, isn’t it?

 

 

His demands such as bringing the black money from the Swiss Bank, punishing the corrupt with harsh punishment such as death penalty, leaving foreign type administration and adopt national type of administration….. all these seem attractive to common man and therefore they support Baba.

 

But by doing the fasting movement it is not possible to bring the money from the Swiss Bank. To bring this money back at once, the political terms between our country and other countries will not allow. If quick and severe method is adopted to bring this money, then the country’s and world’s financial situation, the relationship and agreements between our country and the other countries will all have negative effects. Taking up such a responsibility is not easy for the country; the revolution cannot take place overnight. Baba may agree with all these or not, but for sure bringing the money is not as easy as doing the fasting movement.

 

The other issue is the law against corruption. But the law against corruption already exists; only implementation is required. If the 400 crores rupees flows back into the country, what is the guarantee that there will not be any corruption for that money? Who will stop it? Again people like Baba may have to conduct fasting movement for it!

 

 

Anna Hazare has already taken up this work, the government has agreed to his demands, action for implementation is already begun, there is no room for immediate revolution here, and that is why Anna is giving sufficient time to the government. In between this process, do we need fasting movement from Baba also? It is better his followers think about this at least once.
