Mangaluru, 30 Sep: ‘The scrapping of article 370 in J & K has helped SC/ST and OBC community for the purpose of reservation,’ said BJP national general secretary and in charge of Karnataka P Murlidhar Rao.
Addressing media persons during Jana Jagruti Meet, held at Ramana Pai Convention Center, here on Sunday, September 29, Muralidhar Rao said, ‘Congress is against SC/ST and OBC community. So they oppose the abrogation of article 370th vioce in the state has come down after the scrapping of the article 370 and 35A,’ he said.
‘We should stop opting for dynastic administration as we are a democratic country. Dynasty and democracy do not go together. The abrogation of article 370 has helped the SC/ST and OBC community to enjoy the facility of reservation. Congress is opposed the move to scrap the article 370, which indicates that they support separatists. Congress needs to admit that it also supports Pakistan,’ Manohar added.
When asked about providing party tickets for disqualified MLAs in the coming assembly elections, Muralidhar Rao said, ‘So far the disqualified MLAs have not applied for any membership. As of now, there is no question of providing ticket to anyone as there is a lot of procedure that needs to be followed. We are confident that BJP will win in all the 15 constituencies of by elections,’ he said.
Replying to a query on delay in announcing compensation from the centre for flood victims, Muralidhar Rao said, ‘CM B S Yediyurappa is in constant touch with PM Narendra Modi, who will release funds soon.’
