Udupi: Organizations support the fasting movement by Baba Ramdev

Udupi, 04 June 2011: In support of the fasting movement by Baba Ramdev, the activists of various organizations in Udupi have begun the fasting movement in Udupi on Saturday. In the fasting movement organized by Bharath Swabhiman Trust in front of the D.C. office; Retired Government Employees Union, Kisan Sangha, Railway Passengers Union, Retired Soldiers Union, Navodaya Trust, Senior Citizens Vedike and Dharmastala Gramabhivradhi Society activists have participated.

 

In the morning at 10.00 am the fasting movement began with Vande Matharam by Social activist Vasudeva Bhat. Bharath Swabhiman Trust’s full time activist Pawan Kumar gave an introductory speech. On this occasion the representatives of various organizations spoke and expressed their complete support to the demands laid by Baba; bringing back the money from the foreign Banks, implementation of Lokpal Bill against corruption and bringing to an end of the foreign laws in Independent India.

 

 

Participation in this movement by Udupi District freedom fighter Bantakal Lakshminarayana Sharma even in his old age drew attention. Senior entrepreneur of the District Pangala Rabindra Nayak and former soldier R. L. Dias were also present.

 

Leaders of the various organization; S. T. Kunder, S. S. Thonse, Ramakrishna Sharma, Vishwajna Shetty, Vishwanatha Bhat, Ramesh Bangera, Harish Ram Bannanje, Mahesh Bhat, Anantray Sheneoy were participated.
