Mangaluru, 18 Sep: The discussions are underway to introduce grace marks for students of every university who make their mark in district, state and national sports meets, said Karnataka MLC Ivan D’Souza.
D’Souza was speaking after inaugurating DK district Dasara Sports Meet that was jointly organized by district administration, DK ZP, Mangaluru civic authority, youth empowerment and sports department, district youth federation and Karnataka Sports Authority at Mangala Stadium, here on Tuesday, September 17.
Youth empowerment leads to nation building. Those who take part in sports and make it their daily routine are likely to be more successful in life as there are several examples to prove it, added D’Souza.
DK district youth Federation president Suresh Rai Soodimullu said, DK district plans and executes any programmes exemplarily. The youth community ought to seize such opportunities to excel in district, state and national level sports meets.
DK district youth empowerment and sports deputy director Pradeep D’Souza, assistant youth empowerment sports officer Mangaluru division Lilly Pais, Beltangady division Prabhakar, Puttur division Mamacchan, Bantwal division Naveen, Sullia division Devaraj Mutlaje, DK district Amateur Kabaddi Association secretary Purushottam Poojary, president Ratan Shetty were present.
