Puttur, 09 Jul: The headmaster of Haradi Higher Primary School in Puttur taluk has been suspended for misusing the rice supplied to the school under the Akshara Dasoha Scheme. The School Development and Monitoring Committee had earlier complained against the Headmaster Mudara with the Education officials accusing him of selling eleven sacks of rice meant for preparing mid-day meals.
The now suspended headmaster has also been accused of furnishing false information in the account books.
The issue was also raised in the ZP meeting following with ’Akshara Dasoha’ educational officer Rajalaxmi, Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer, Jagadish S and other officials had visited the school and conducted investigation. The report of the team was sent to the Akshara Dasoha officials and on the basis of the report the DDPI has issued an order suspending the HM.
Senior-most teacher of the said school, Priya Kumari, has been asked to function as headmistress of the school in place of the suspended headmaster.
