Mangaluru, 18 Apr: The voting for Lok Sabha polls in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district including Mangaluru already begun on Thursday, April 18 at 7.00am. The majority of voters began queuing to cast their votes at different polling centers since morning. In DK district, 657 polling centers are identified as sensitive, out of total of 1,861 which are provided with additional security by law enforcement agencies.
Web streaming facility has been set up in 110 polling centers. A total of 8,920 staff are on duty in 1,861 polling centers of DK district. The process of voting began at 7.00am. The fate of candidates will be announced on May 23.
