Bantwal, 09 Mar: The union home minister Rajnath Singh to visit historical Rajarajeshwari temple, Polali, here on Saturday, March 4 at 4.00pm, said Brahmakalashotsava Committee president and Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik.
Addressing media persons at the temple on Friday, MLA Naik said that minister Rajnath will be arriving in DK district who will also visit the temple on the request made by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
After the temple visit, Rajnath will proceed to Mangaluru International Airport. There will be high security during his visit, while the devotees are urged to co-operate. The top officials are busy setting up security arrangements, said MLA Naik.
U Taranat Alva, U Subash Naik, Krishna Kumar Punja Farangipet, Krishnaraj Marla Muttoor and others were present.
Brahmakalashotsav and other vedic celebrations are underway at the temple since a few days with head-load offerings of food grains, vegetables, coconut etc arriving from different locations from all over district and neighboring districts. The temple serves free food to hundreds and thousands of devotees who arrive at the temple daily.
