Puttur: National Level English Fest, Alfresco concludes at St Philomena College

Puttur, 24 Feb: ‘Abilities and skills must be used in a right place and at a right time. The participants must accept the results in a right spirit,’ said Fr Vijay Lobo, principal of St Philomena Pre University College, here.

 

He was speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of valedictory function of National Level English Fest ‘Alfresco’ organized by department of English of St Philomena College, here on February 20.

 

 

The principal Prof Leo Noronha delivered presidential address. The dean of Humanities Prof Ganapati S was present.

 

The students from 20 colleges have participated in various events. St Aloysius College bagged the overall championship and Milagres College, Kallianpur, Udupi secured the runners up trophy of ‘Alfresco’.

 

The student coordinator Mohammad Hashim welcomed the gathering. Assistant Professor of English Noveline Fernandes presented the list of prize winners. HoD and Fest convener Bharathi S Rai proposed the vote of thanks. Anuradha Bharadwaj B R compered the programme.
