Mumbai, 05 Nov: The annual sports meet that is being organized by Ganiga Samaja indeed promotes comradeship and lays emphasis on fitness in life. New avenues open for sport enthusiasts to succeed in career, said Dive Rana, former Ranji cricketer and fitness coach.
Rana was speaking after inaugurating annual sports meet of Ganiga Samaja at Holy Family High School, Chakala, Andheri (East), here, on Sunday, November 4.
In his presidential address, Ganiga Samaja president Ramachandra M Ganiga hoped the youth talent of Ganiga community would make its mark in both national and international games.
The vice president Bhaskar M Ganiga, honorary general secretary Chandrashekar R Ganiga, joint secretary Jagdish Ganiga, honorary treasurer Jayant P Ganiga, education Committee president Vijayendra Ganiga, veterans Devendra Rao, Ratnakar Shetty, Kalinga Rao, Sadanand Kallianpur, Ramesh Ganiga Kandivali and others were present.
Variety games including cricket tournament for all age groups were held during daylong sports meet.
The youth wing president Ganesh R Kutpady welcomed the gathering. Vice president B V Rao compered the programme and administered oath to participants. Chandrashekar Ganiga proposed vote of thanks.
