Moodubelle: First SSLC Batch of St. Lawrence English Medium HS secures 100% Result

Moodubelle, 13 May 2011: The first SSLC batch(2010-2011) of St. Lawrence English Medium High School, Moodubelle created history by securing cent percent result in the recently concluded examination. Out of 20 students all students passed the examination with flying colours. While 18 students secured first class including 6 of them scoring distinction marks, only 2 students obtained second class marks.

 

 

The following six students secured distinction marks:

3.       Shraddha Bhat-555
4.       Vikas Amin-551

Fr. Lancy Saldanha, Principal of St. Lawrence English Medium High School was beaming with happiness when this reporter met him in his office. When asked about the secret of the success of the first batch of the SSLC students in securing cent percent result, Fr. Lancy said that the students deserve to score good marks as they had been working hard and putting their best efforts. He specially appreciated the teachers for taking extra classes for the SSLC students right from the month of June 2010 till March 2011, half an hour in the morning before the beginning of the school  and 45 minutes in the evening after the end of the classes. He also said that the parents were quite keen that their children should perform well in the SSLC and encouraged them to study. Fr. Lancy also thanked Fr. Joswey Fernandes, Correspondent of St. Lawrence Educational Institutions for giving full support for educational activities in the school and encouraging the teachers and students to achieve the best results.

Fr. Joswey Fernandes, on his part said that the foresight of Fr. Charles Lewis who started  St. Lawrence English Medium High School in Moodubelle has borne fruit as after ten years of natural growth the institution has achieved great success. He also said that Fr. Valerian D’Souza nurtured the school which is becoming quite popular among the people. For the brilliant achievement of the first batch of the SSLC students, Fr. Joswey complimented the students  for their seriousness in studies, all the teachers and principal for taking pains to teach the students including spending extra time for special coaching of the students.
