Beltangady, 23 May 2018: The coalition government will reign in Karnataka for the entire five-year term, the new CM H D Kumaraswamy expressed hope.
CM Kumaraswamy was speaking to media persons Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadikari D Veerendra Heggade, here, on Tuesday, May 22 morning.
I have gotten an opportunity to become CM with the grace of God because of veteran leaders although my party JDS has not got majority. Congress high command Sonia and Rahul Gandhi convinced us to form coalition government, said Kumaraswamy.
He also assured to fulfill the manifesto of both Congress and JDS in the course of five-year term, to improve economic position, not to levy more taxes instead lay emphasis on happiness quotients.
He appealed the youth of coastal district to shun anti-social activities, maintain communal harmony for peaceful co-existence among people of different faith in society.
Harshendra Heggade, JDS district president Mohammed Kunhi, former president M B Sadashiva, Sumati Hegde, Rajashree Hegde, district youth president Akshit Suvarna, Pravinchandra and others were present.
