Udupi, 20 Mar 2018: Mudarangady village has witnessed a spate of developments in the recent times. Several developmental works were being carried out in the limits of Kaup legislative assembly constituency during 4-and—years, said MLA Vinayakumar Sorake.
MLA Sorake was speaking after laying the foundation for developing 3.5 kilometres of Mudarangady – Halasinakatte – Jantra Road, here, on Sunday, March 18. The road will be development at a cost of Rs 2 crore sanctioned by state administration with the iniative of Karnataka legislative council chief whip Ivan D’Souza.
Speaking on the occasion, Ivan said, ’I entered politics in my hometown by becoming member of Mudarangady gram panchayat during 1986. The developmental works such as installation of high-mast street lights, concreting/asphalting roads, building culverts are being carried out with state funds of Rs 16 crore. I have been successful in sanctioning state funds of Rs 2 crore for developing Halasinakatte – Jantra Road that comes under ZP in Pilar gram panchayat,’ said Ivan.
