Mangaluru, 12 Mar 2018: The pulse polio campaign that was launched by Rotary Club International has been continued by all nations. Rotary Foundation provides financial assistance to all nations for pulse polio programmes. The local Rotary Clubs are providing food to nurses who are engaged in administering pulse polio, said Dr Devdas Rai, senior Professor of A J Hospital.
Dr Devdas was speaking after inaugurating free food distribution by Rotary Club Central to nurses administering pulse polio at 12 booths, here, on Sunday, March 11.
Rotary Club Central president Raymond D’Cunha welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks.
The past president Anil Gonsalves, former president K M Hegde and Pramila Hegde couple, designated president Santosh Shet, secretary Joel Lobo distributed the breakfast and lunch to nurses in 12 booths at Kadri, Bengre, Bunder and nearby Canara High School.
