Shankerpura, 21 Jan 2018: The well known Kushi Play School and Melody Music School owned by Vidya D’Sa and Anil D’Sa moved to their own artistically designed, new building to accommodate more children and provide an atmosphere of clean, green, peaceful location. Earlier the school was run opposite to the St. John’s Academy in Shankerpura. The new building is located at the junction of Innanje Pangala Road.
The inaugural function of the new facility took place on Sunday the 19th January 2018. The new building was blessed by Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves (Parish Priest, St. John’s Church), along with Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Leslie D’Souza (Parish Priest, Mount Rosary Church, Kallianpur) Rev. Fr. Vincent Coelho (Principal, St. John’s PU College), Rev. Fr. Royson Fernandes (Asst. Parish Priest), Rev. Fr. Louise D’Sa and Mr. Sudheer Rao Kodavoor (Director, Nrithya Kala Niketan, Kodavoor). Thereafter, the facility officially inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp by the honourary guests and proprietors of the play school Mr.& Ms. Anil/Vidya D’Sa.
Ms. Flavia Menezes welcomed the gathering and the honorary guests were felicitated with jasmine garlands by parents of Vidya and Anil.
On the occasion all the three guests addressed the audience and appreciated efforts put up by Vidya and Anil to encourage little kids to learn basics of the education, an playful atmospher wherein all kids can enjoy their daily school along with their little friends and grow well prepared for the higher education. They also said that only the academic education is not sufficient but learning music is an important part of the kids and their growth. It will help them to enhance their talents and choose their respective musical field when they grow.
Those who passed musical exams conducted by Trinity College of Music London were given away with certificates by honorary guest Mr. Sudeer Rao.
Ms. Viday proposed the vote of thanks and appreciated the presence of the guests and they were presented with mementos. Also honoured on occasion were all those helped to build the school, the staff that had been instrumental in growth of the tiny tots for the last seven years.
A large number of guests, well wishers and parents of kids attended the inaugural function.
