Mangaluru, 29 Nov 2017: Mangalore Urology Forum organized the 31st annual conference of Urological Association of Kerala (UAK) at Lalit Resort, Bekal, Kasargod from November 25 to November 26.
The conference being inaugurated by NITTE University vice chancellor Professor Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, who acknowledged the specialty of Urology for adhering to the motto of minimally invasive endoscopic surgery and for embracing the recent developments like robots in surgical technology.
Dr H Krishnamurthy, president of Urological Association of Kerala, presided the function.
Dr G G Laxman Prabhu, secretary of Association of Southern Urology and Dr Ranjit Shetty, president, Mangalore Urology Forum were the guest of honor.
Dr Mohan Chandra Suvarna, organizing president of UAKON 2017 welcomed the gathering. Dr Rajeev T P, organizing secretary proposed the vote of thanks. Dr Venuchandran, secretary of UAK distributed the merit awards on this occasion.
The Academic program was enriched with guest lecturers, orations, deliberations by senior faculties and presentation of recent research work and case scenarios by Urology post graduates.
A preconference workshop was organized on November 24 along with this conference by department of Urology, K S Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte University and the topic was ‘Masterclass in Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy’ which was well attended.
