Yenepoya Medical College Hospital organizes Snehamilan of partners in healthcare

Mangaluru, 13 May 2017: Yenepoya Medical College Hospital (YMCH) organized Snehamilan, get-together of individuals and NGOs partnering in health care extension in the unreached areas of Karnataka and Kerala states at YMCH auditorium, here, on May 10.

 

Dr M Vijayakumar, vice chancellor, Yenepoya University presided and inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

 

 

In his presidential address, Dr Vijaykumar highlighted various upgraded service available in the Yenepoya Medical College hospital for improved patient care. He lauded the services rendered by various Yen health care partners in educating the rural population and motivating them to avail the best health care from the hospital.

 

Dr Mohammad Amin Wani, chief operating officer/medical superintendant of Yenepoya Medical College Hospital delivered the keynote address. 

 

In his address, Dr Wani highlighted the various new state of the art diagnostic facilities added to various departments in the hospital to enhance the quality of health care to patients at affordable costs. He also highlighted the significant impact of the interventions undertaken by Yen health care partners to extend health care services to unreached areas of Karnataka and Kerala states. As many as 100 Yen Health partners were felicitated during this occasion.

 

Dr Shreekumar Menon, Registrar of Yenepoya University, Dr Sunitha Saldanha, hospital operations officer and Sr Aileen Mathias, chief nursing officer were  present on the dais.

 

Dr Mohammed Guthigar, head of department of MSW welcomed and gave brief on the purpose and functioning of Yen Health care partners. Vijayanand Shetty, marketing executive proposed a vote of thanks. Sowmya and Akshatha Shetty compered the programme. Dialogue session with Yen Health care partners was followed after the inaugural programme.
