Mangaluru, 06 May 2017: It’s the step-motherly treatment for Tulunadu by railway authority to rename Kudla Express to Gomateshwar Express. If it’s not reversed at the earliest, massive protest will be in the offing, said Tulunada Rakshana Vedike (TRV) founder president Yogish Shetty Jeppu.
Addressing the media persons, here, on Friday, May 5, Yogish said that Bengaluru–Mangaluru train service was named Kudla Express whilst during inaugural recently. It indeed got some repute to Tulunadu. Meanwhile, the railway authorities renamed the train service to Gomateshwar Express with effect from Wednesday, May 3. It’s the injustice to rename the train due to political interests. The massive protests will be in the offing if its not reversed to Kudla Express, said Yogish.
TRV general secretary Prashant Bhat Kadaba, vice president J Ibrahim, organizing secretary Anand Amin Adyar, treasurer Rashid Jeppu, Mangaluru president M Siraj Adkare, women unit state president Jyotika Jain, youth unit district president Hirish Shetty, Nemu Kottary, Gangadhar Attavar, Umesh Bangera, Prashant and others were present.
