Mangaluru, 03 Apr 2017: ‘I am thanks full to my mother and father for their blessing and sacrifice for the church community. Today, I am here to witness 60 years of my priesthood it’s because of them. I always thankful to my family members in last 60 years of my priest life I have tried my best to serve the people,’ said Fr William after he received the honor from Milagres parish community.
Fr William offered the Thanksgiving Mass at Milagres church, here on Sunday, April 2 at 7.00am. After the Holy Mass, a simple felicitation program was held.
During the honoring ceremony, parish priest Fr Valerian D’Souza said, ‘We are blessed to have such wonderful priest with us, who served the community in 3 different stages As a head master for school, as a parish priest in Puttur, Kallianpur - Milagres and Milagres Mangaluru and now as a resident priest of Milagres church, Mangaluru. He is true devotee of Mother Mary. He spends many hours in front of Blessed Sacrament praying for parish community and fellow clergies. He spends many hours in confession.
On behalf of parish community, council vice president Ivan D’Souza honored Fr William with a flower bouquet. Assistant parish priest compered the programme.
