Bantwal: New edu policy aims at providing jobs to educated youth - Minister Jayachandra

Bantwal, 25 Jun 2016: The Committee that was formed to formulate new education policy has submitted its report. The new policy aims at providing employment to educated youth community, said state law and parliamentary affairs, minor irrigation minister T B Jayachandra.

 

Jayachandra was speaking after inaugurating new building block of Government First Grade College, Siddakatte, near here on Friday June 24.

The state government is contemplating on empowering rural youth with education in order to get them employment. It’s significant that in a rural college at Siddakatte, near here, over 150 girls are studying. More girls pursuing higher education will bring prosperity to families and transform society, said minister Jayachandra.  

 

The state forests and DK district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai in his presidential address said that minister Jayachandra had approved the proposal of Paschim Vahini Yojana, in order to increase the ground water level thereby solving the shortage of drinking water in DK district.  Further, a decision will be held in consultation with CM and other ministers during the meeting, said minister Rai.

The College principal Professor Satyanarayan Bhat welcomed the gathering. The lecturer Vidyadar Hegde proposed vote of thanks. Soumya H and Naseema Begam compered the programme.
