Mangaluru, 15 Jan 2016: The annual feast of Infant Jesus was held at the shrine, Carmel Hill, Bikarnakatte, here with utmost fervor on Thursday January 14.
The Eucharistic Celebrations in Konkani, Malayalam, English and Kannada were held in different intervals to facilitate the sea of devotees thronging the Infant Jesus Shrine, Carmel Hill, Bikarnakatte, here throughout Thursday.
The bishop Dr Leo Cornelio of Bhopal concelebrated the solemn Eucharistic Celebration and delivered homily here on Thursday at 6.00pm. Nine-day novenas in preparation for annual feast were held in different languages. The free food was offered to the devotees in each afternoon.
Carmelite Karnataka – Goa Provincial Fr Dr Charles Serrao, hundreds of clergies, religious and nuns including hundreds and thousands of devotees attended the festal Eucharistic celebrations.
St Joseph’s Monastery, Carmel Hill superior Fr Joe Tauro welcomed the gathering and thanked the congregation for attending the celebration.
Infant Jesus Shrine director Fr Elias D’Souza, Fr Prakash D’Cunha, Fr Deep Fernandes, Fr Barnabas Monis, Fr Jossy D’Souza, Fr Walter D’Souza, Fr Steven Pereira, Fr Gregory D’Souza and laities, volunteers served selflessly for the success of annual feast.
