The family that lays emphasis on personal hygiene and cleanliness contributes for Swacch Bharat. The curriculum is not mere education. The education in true sense is all round growth of students. The cultured living brightens the future of student, said Bishop Dr Gerald Lobo of Udupi.
Bishop Dr Lobo was addressing the gathering of students and teachers whilst on his official visit to St Joseph’s education institutions, Belman, near here on Monday June 22.
He appealed to the students to practice yoga that enhances concentration and total wellbeing.
Speaking on the occasion, St Joseph’s education institutions correspondent Fr Lawrence B D’Souza offered info on school activities.
Belman assistant parish priest Fr J B Moras, parish council vice president Gregory Menezes, secretary Lydia Aranha, Kannada medium school head teacher Sr Monica, English medium school head teacher Janet D’Souza were present at the dais.
The students presented group prayers. Shweta Shetty welcomed the gathering. English medium school pupil leader Akash Putran honored the dignitaries with flower bouquets. Hedlyn Rebello, Sinchana Sharma, Nita Nayak read the report. The school pupil leader Pooja Y Salian proposed vote of thanks. The senior teacher B Pundalika Marate, Vincent Pinto, Sr Usha Stella and Divya assisted in the programme.
