Dubai: Eagles Abu Dhabi lifts Prashanth Pinto Memorial Cricket Cup -2015

Dubai, 16 Feb 2015: One of the leading Mangalorean Cricket Team in UAE, Eagles Abu Dhabi won the Late Prashanth Pinto Memorial Cricket Cup 2015 that was organised by Mangalore Spikers in Deira Dubai here on Friday February 13. There were selected 14 teams to fight for the coveted trophy in the daylong limited over cricket tourney organised for teams from Mangalore and Udupi dioceses residing in UAE.

 

Teena Lima Pinto, wife of the late Prashanth Pinto inaugurated the event here on Friday morning.

 

In the finals, Eagles Abu Dhabi beat the strong opponent Choice Cricketers Dubai and lifted the giant winners’ cup. The Choice Cricketers were the runners up. Clevan of Choice Cricketers was adjudged Best Batsman, Prashant of Eagles Abu Dhabi adjudged as the Best Bowler and Man of the Series based on their unparalleled performances.

 

At the post-match presentation ceremony, the prizes were handed over by Teena Lima Pinto. She also thanked the sponsors and the teams for their support.

 

Mangalore Spikers co-ordinators Vincent D’Mello, Ashwin Aranha along with the team members put in their efforts to organize the cricket tournament in a successful way.
