SC issues notice to BSY, Bopaiah on MLAs plea

Bangalore, 30 November 2010: The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued notice to Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and Speaker K G Bopaiah on a petition filed by five MLAs challenging their disqualification from the Assembly.

 

After the Karnataka High Court had upheld the disqualification of five independent MLAs, the affected legislators had appealed to the Supreme Court against the High Court verdict.
