M’lore: SBM Zonal Office relocated to Manjusha Building, Bejai

Mangalore, 26 Dec 2013: The recently opened zonal office of State Bank of Mysore (SBM) at Divya Enclave, Opposite Canara College, M G Road was relocated to Manjusha Building, near KSRTC bus stand, Bejai, here on Thursday December 26.

Speaking on the occasion, Mukherjee said that SBM that is at the threshold of centenary jubilee has 80 percent of presence in Karnataka.  It has opened zonal offices in Belgaum and Mangalore, besides regional offices in Gulbarga, Karwar and Mysore.  It has so far opened 101 branches across the country out of which 19 are in Mangalore zone.  It has contributed a huge amount to Kidwai Pediatric Center under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to commemorate SBM centenary jubilee.  The Bank has been extending chunk of farming loans and are much patronized by farmers in Karnataka.  The Bank is now geared up to tap business potentials of NRIs and investors in rapidly growing gateway of Karnataka that is Mangalore, while the zonal offices will provide infrastructural support in realizing the set objective, said Mukherjee.

Bangara Raju highlighted the steady progress of SBM and briefed on the future plans.  He also sought wholehearted co-operation from employees in achieving set objective in ever competitive cradle of banking in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district.


SBM deputy general manager, M R Jayesha, assistant general managers Sringeshwar Sharma and Poojary was present at the dais.


SBM Officers Association president Yogesh Karkera and SBM Employees Association president Devdas Pai and bank staff were present on the occasion. 


The SBM women staff rendered prayer song.  Jayesha welcomed the gathering.  SBM chief manager (GB) compered the programme. Sringeshwar Sharma proposed vote of thanks. 


SBM regional office and Centralized Pension Processing Centre (CPPC) which are presently functioning in different locations in Mangalore will also be shifted to Manjusha Building shortly, aiming at bringing all administrative office under one roof. 


 
While the new zonal office will have administrative control of 3 regional offices and branches spread over in Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Chikmagalur, Hassan and Kasargod districts and Goa.  The CPPC will credit pension to around 1.50 lac pensioners drawing pension from all the branches of SBM throughout the country.
