Youth from Belman, 24 years old Royston dies in a road accident

Shirva, 28 August 2010: In a tragic road accident, a 24 years old young man from Belman, Royston D’Silva died on Friday, 27 August 2010 at around 6 pm near Ganapati temple at Pernal. Royson is the son of late Ligory and Irene D’Silva.
According to a report, Royston was going from Shirva to Belman on his bike. The accident took place when the driver of a private bus tried to overtake Royston’s bike. As Royston tried to apply brakes, he slipped and fell on the road in front of an oncoming tempo from the opposite direction. According to the tempo driver, as he slowed down his vehicle to allow the private bus to pass, Royston lost balance , slipped and fell on the road.
On receiving the news of the mishap, the Shriva Police Sub Inspector K.R. Naik rushed to the accident spot. The police have booked the tempo driver and his vehicle is detained.
