Shirva: Christmas Snehakoota at Our Lady of Health Church

Shirva, 27 December 2009: The foster brotherhood and unity a Christmas get-together was arranged here at 5 pm a solemn procession with the dignitaries began to the public podium at shirva-manchakal bus stand.

 

Shree Shree Mohandas Swamiji of Shridhama Matt Manila,Vittal Dr J C Miranda principal of St Marys college shirva, Maulana Mustafa Ssaadi manager mullor sunni centre were the main 3 speakers. All of them expressed the need for interreligious dialogue, strengthening our own faith, keeping our hearts closer to on another & respecting other religions will bring about peace & harmony.

 

The leadership was taken by the catholic sabha unit of Shirva parish, Mr Lawrence DSouza welcomed and Mrs Flavy D’Souza thanked the speakers & gathering. Mr Gilbert Pinto was the master of ceremony.

 

The entire function was co-ordinated by Mr Melwyn Aranha. Very Rev. Fr Richard Coelho parish priest presided over the function & gave the presidential address. Fr Fredrick, Fr Edwin, Mr Norbert Machado & Mrs Yamuna were on the stage. A large crowd attended the programme. All were given Xmas cake.
