Mangalore, 3 Aug 2013: Muslim Souharda Vedike, South India believes that its most distressing the stance taken by the reigning state administration on Abdul Nasser Madani, renowned scholar, president of PDP, chairman of Al Anwar Education Society  and South India Muslim Federation, who was convicted and held in Parappanahara prison, Bangalore, since over 3 years.

The office bearers of Muslim Souharda Vedike, South India expressed this to the media persons during the press meet held here on Friday August 2.

The petition of Madani seeking anticipatory bail is under consideration at High Court, as he has furnished all the certificates pertaining to his ill health.  The advocate Nagamohandas after examining all the relevant details advised to suggest government stance with public prosecutor Doreraju.  Meanwhile, Doreraju alleged that Madani has contact with enemy country – Pakistan and Madani was involved in over 50 terrorist activities.  Doreraju also alleged that Madani had secured fake certificates about his ill health from most reputed hospital in the state capital while in the prison cell, alleged Doreraju.

The former regime of BJP also did not allege such silly allegation when Madani was arrested.  Madani was arrested by Tamil Nadu on allegations of Coimbattore blast in 1998 and was on parole in prison for nine-and-a-half years.  The Supreme Court in its verdict stated that Madani had no role in Coimbattore blast and was innocent,  Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu police released him from prison, only to be arrested by Karnataka police during the former reign of BJP, on allegations of blast in Bangalore.

The four-time MP and advocate Sebastian Paul, chairman of Justice for Madani Forum led human rights key activists , Justice V R Krishna Ayyar and leaders of several Muslim organizations pleaded the former state regime seeking Madani’s release.
Muslim Souharda Vedike, South India urges the secular Congress government in Karnataka to change the stance and to release Madani at the earliest.

Muslim Souharda Vedike, South India chairman Sayyed Mohammed Sakhaf Tangal, organizing secretary S M Basheer Amed, vice presidents Ibrahim Faizi and Moulana Abdul Hafiz, secretaries Abdul Aziz Musliar Punacha, Karim Moulawi Uppinangady, Hussein Moulawi, PDP – Kasargod district president M K E Abbas and other leaders were present at the press meet.
