Catholic Friends of Vittal Parish present Head-load Offerings to Panchalingeshwar Temple

Vittal, 14 Jan 2013:At the joint auspices of Catholic Friends of Our Lady of Dolours parish, Vittal and parish unit of Catholic Sabha, head-load-offerings were presented to Panchalingeshwar temple, Vittal, near hee on Monday January 14 morning.

The motorcade of head-load-offerings accompanied by brass band begun from Vittal parish, passing through the main street and concluded at Panchalingeshwar temple.  It was led by Louis Mascarnhas, B V Madtha, Ullas Sequera Vijay Pais, Rony, Cyril Sequera, Albert, Peter, Dias Seraje and others.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Louis said, ’Catholics Friends enjoy cordial relations with authorities of  Panchaligeshwara temple. We ere inspired by the arrangements and gesture provided by the organising committee.  This temple has witnessed a lot of good work around Vittal   There are people belonging to different religions, sects, races etc in India. Unity in diversity has always remained our unique feature. We have participated in this programme with love and affection. Christians have always been supportive of initiatives undertaken by other communities. Let other communities also join in Christain feasts wholeheartedly. Achieving progress and development becomes easy when we join hands and work together.’

Fourteen-truckloads of offerings of vegetables, rice and coconuts were presented to Panchalingeshwar temple, at the occasion.
