I deeply mourn the sudden demise of Dr. V.S. Acharya. After hearing the News arround 02-15 p.m I was almost dumb that my mind was not workingfor some time. I silently mourned and saw the T.V.Channel but could not express any thing because I knew him quite closely since 1972. He is the architect of Modern Udupi. But for his disciplined political life Udupi city would have been Ten years behind. The only black spsot I identified is that of his silence or inaction when there was church attack and being the Home minister it should not have been happen, and the decision of building RAJATHADRI at Manipal which has put every one into difficulties. It could have been at the Present D.C. Office premises covering the Inspection Bungallow prmisesalso. The Inspection Bungallow could have been at Manipal and small plane s landing aerodrom could have been at Manipal where the present D.C. Office has come up. Any way he is no more and the public have to face the problems. May God grant him eternal rest.

I know how simple and humble late Dr.Achrya was.I still remember when I was doing my PUC in Poornaprajna College,Udipi in 1966-67 twice I visited his Geetha clinic which was in Kalmadi.I was using cycle at that time to go to the college from Malpe which was very near to his clinic.During the medical check up he was so gentle, quiet and prescribed me suitable medicines. Now I have lost one of the best physicians and good politicians.Off course I was one of the viewers to pay the last tribute when his body was kept in his official residence on Race Course road,Bangalore yesterday.May God grant his eternal rest and give his family courage to bear this loss.
