1. Opening Remarks
After the traditional Prayer hymn, led by Mrs Jyothy and Aishwarya Shetty – Lecturers, the meeting commenced at 3.30 PM, with a welcome address by Vice President Mr Shedikodlu Vittal Shetty. Before proceeding with the agenda, the Chairperson Mr B Shantarama Shetty, thanked all members for their attendance and support throughout the year.
2. Approval of Minutes and Annual Report
The brief minutes from the previous AGM held, were presented by Mr Ashok Kumar Shetty, the Secretary of BES and the same was reviewed and approved unanimously. He also presented the Annual Report, highlighting the following key achievements:
3. Enrolment Growth
Though there expressed some concerns, due to competitions etc overall progress of all the National Institutions was encouraging.
Academic Achievements: Notable performance in SSLC both NJC & SVVEN – 100%, PUC 98% and ITI 100% results.
Program Developments: Launch of new programs i.e. NEET & CET Coaching classes sponsored by past students and well-wishers.
Community Engagement: Initiatives undertaken to enhance community involvement in various activities under the initiative of all affiliated Schools – District level sports, games and Pratibha Karanji.
Role of National Old Students Association and other donors in supporting Guru Vandana, Free Uniforms, Transportation, Mid day Meal facilities, Free NEET & CET training, Scholarships etc was acknowledged and profusely thanked.
4. Financial Report
Treasurer Mr Krishna Hebbar presented of Income and Expenditure Account and Balance Sheet and Auditors Report for the period ended 3-03-2024 analysed by Mr Jayaram Shetty, and provided an overview of the financial status:
Budget for Next Year: Proposed budget was presented, focusing on the overall development of both infra structure and better facilities for quality education.
5. Future Plans
Discussion initiated and led by Mr Rajaram Shetty, Correspondent of SVVN English Medium High School on the strategic goals for the coming year:
Encouragement for more admissions to PU and SVVN and expansion of facilities to accommodate growing enrolment.
Introduction of new programs or initiatives to add more short time courses in ITI and PU College.
Increased focus on e.g., usage of digital and print media, technology integration, community outreach in all the Institutions to showcase the courses, human resource development, especially 100% placement in NITI and all our institutions.
6. Election of Board Members and Office bearers:
As all the Members reinstated faith and confidence in the existing team of office bearers led by Mr B Shantarama Shetty as BES President, the following members were elected/re-elected:

7. Open Forum
An open discussion was held where members raised questions and provided feedback on:
Sub-committee comprising Mr Mahesh Udupa, Raj Gopal Nambiar and others to oversee PU Section and its day today academic progress.
Cub boards for Library were donated by Mahesh Udupa 8 and Old Students Association
The need for improved communication with stakeholders and parents was insisted by the members.
Principal Prof U Kottraswamy invited all Members tomorrow, District level Sports and Games Competitions to be held in National PU College grounds.
8. Closing Remarks
The unanimously re-elected Chairperson Mr Shantarama Shetty thanked everyone for their contributions and active participation. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks and concluding remarks by Vice President and former Principal Mr B Seetharama Shetty.
