Moodbidri: Alangar parish altar boys & girls Sodality gather for annual meet

Moodbidri, 12 Sep 2022: Infant Jesus parish, Alangar, near here celebrated Altar Servers and Marian Girls Sodality Day at the parish hall, on Sunday September 11.

 

The celebration began with the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Fr Rakesh Mathias, Alangar parish priest concelebrated the Eucharistic Mass along with other clergies.

 

Eighteen new Altar servers were initiated for the service at the Altar.

 

 

After the Mass culture program was presented by the sodality members. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various activities.

 

Rajesh D’Souza the convener of commission was the chief guest of the occasion. Parents of sodality members, catechism teachers were present.

 

Delicious homemade food was served to all.

 

Liturgy commission and Bible and catechism commission assisted in organizing the programme with the direction of the parish priest and sodality animators Sr Helen Goveas and Sr Ancita Moses.

 

Allan Pinto, president of Altar servers welcomed the gathering. Shina Moras, the president of Marian Girls Sodality proposed vote of thanks. Riya Fernandes compered the programme.

 

All together 200 people participated in this event.
