Puttur: St Philomena College organizes lecture on Health & Hygiene for students

Puttur, 05 Sep 2022: Women Empowerment Cell and Anti Women Harassment Cell of St Philomena College, here organized a guest lecture on Health and Hygiene on Saturday September 3.
Sr Anna Maria, physician of Fr Patrao Hospital, here speaking on the occasion said, health does not mean only physical health; it also includes mental health too. The present time is too hectic and no one has time for relaxation which takes a toll on the physical as well as the mental health. It is one’s own responsibility to keep the physical and mental health. Avoiding junk food, taking ample rest, restricting the rest, Sr Anna Maria, has emphasized the importance of healthy food and habits which keep our body and the mind fit and clean.
Fr Antony Prakash Monteiro, the principal, presided over the function remarked, women are the source of inspiration and energy of the family. They have immense responsibility. In fact, father and mother both have a lot of responsibility and they are like two wheels of life. Both of them have to take equal responsibility for the family and such families will progress. The stress will spoil our total health.
Students Lahari and the Group rendered prayers, III BA student Lavanya welcomed and III BCom student Jyotsna delivered vote of thanks. Helen, III BBA student compered the program. The program was organized under the guidance of Dr Dimple Jenifer Fernandes, the Coordinator of Women Empowerment Cell, and Prof Novelin Fernandes, the coordinator of Anti Women Harassment Cell.
