Mumbai, 25 Jul 2022: Children are gifted with a multitude of talent, while they are fortunate that Konkani Bhasha Mandal Maharastra® is providing a platform to exhibit their talent. The parents are also equally putting in their efforts in nurturing the talent of their children. The competition is essential to bring the best out of children. Meanwhile, the two years of Covid-19 indeed hampered any worthy social activities and hope such days will not come in the future, said Fr Avin Franklyn, parish priest of St Jude parish, Jerimeri, Andheri (East), here.

 

Fr Avin was speaking after inaugurating the Konkani talent contest that was organized by Konkani Bhasha Mandal Maharastra® at St Jude’s parish auditorium, Kurla (West), here on Sunday July 24.

 

 

Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra® president Rons Bantwal, Deacon Sylvester Lobo were present at the dais and distributed prizes to the winners.

 

The veteran of Konkani activist and co-operative movement John D’Silva Francis Olivera, Antony M Fernandes, veteran theater director Joy Paladka, Dolpjy Menezes Kallianpur, Hilary D’Silva Judy D;Souza, Shone Arel, Joyce D’Souza, Flora D’Souza Kalmady were present.

 

The honorary general secretary Lawrence D’Souza welcomed the gathering. The chief convener Leo Fernandes, treasurer Walter D’Souza Kalmady, joint treasurer Cyril Castelino honored the dignitaries.

 

Glansita Fernandes compered the programme. The joint secretary John R Pereira proposed vote of thanks.
