Udupi: Femina Miss India Sini Shetty visits Milagres College, Kallianpur

Udupi, 20 Jul 2022: This evening, July 19th, college students are waiting to see the sensational beauty queen of India 2022 on their campus. For the first time, the celebrity is visiting their ancestral home to accept greetings, offer prayers, and receive blessings for her upcoming trip to represent the country in Miss World competitions.

 

It’s a day of proud moments, as her parents, Mrs. & Mr. Sadanand Hema Shetty, who moulded her to be at the height of recognition, accompanied her, especially her mother, Mrs. Hema Shetty, the proud alumna of Milagres, who studied here from 1990-93 and passed her B.Com degree.

 

Despite their exceptionally busy schedule, they reserved and gave their alma mater a precious 10 minutes, and to our surprise, the Miss India troupe spent nearly 20 great minutes in Milagres College, which the Principal, Dr. Vincent Alva, rightly described as historical and joyful.

 

 

There were no limits to joy and happiness as Miss India alighted from the car at 3.55 p.m. to greet and surround the Tulu Queen at their doorstep, welcomed with claps and a well-deserved standing ovation. In a short and simple ceremony held thereafter at the lawns of the college, IQAC Co-ordinator Dr Jayaram Shettigar called back the days of today’s celebrity mothers in this temple of learning marked with achievements and display of talents. Prof. Sophia Dias, HOD Department, draped the traditional shawl. Prof. Shylet Mathias, Dept. of Commerce, presented a floral bouquet as a mark of our love, affection, and goodwill. In his congratulatory message, Principal Dr Vincent Alva complimented Femina Miss India, Sini Shetty, on behalf of the College, its management, staff and students. He wished all success in her forthcoming beauty pageant at the international level, to bring glory and honour to India.

 

Simplicity personified in the charming beauty, the heartthrob of young India, Ms Sini Shetty was truly down to earth and in her message to the spectators, she informed them to be proud to visit her mother’s college, as for her, parents are the real role models. She thanked all present for the spontaneous expression of love and affection, especially shown by the students of this college.
