Mumbai, 04 Mar 2022: Kannadiga pilot Disha Aditya Mannoor working with Air India flew the evacuation flight from Kiev amidst Russia – Ukraine conflict.

 

 

She flew Boeing Dreamliner B-787 scheduled flight number AI-1947 from Kiev Airport that is under major assault by Russian forces and brought 242 Indians back to motherland recently.    

 

Disha got a civil aviation license after training at Wellington, New Zealand in 2011 and has been working with Air India since 2017. Since then, she has flown planes to different countries across the globe. Her husband Aditya Mannoor is also a serving pilot with Air India.

 

Disha is the daughter-in-law of Padmaja Prahlada Mannoor, hailing from Belagavi in Uttar Karnataka district. Padmaja is an active member of Karnataka Sangh – Goregaon.
