Mangaluru: Govt First Grade College observes Mathematics Day, birth anniversary of Ramanujan

Mangaluru, 23 Dec 2021: Dr P Dayananda Pai – P Satish Pai Government First Grade College, Car Street, here observed National Mathematics Day, to mark 134 th birth anniversary of India’s distinguished mathematician Srinivas Ramanujan, here on Wednesday, December 22.

 

Dr John Serra, former head of department of Mathematics, St Aloysius College was the chief guest, delivered the keynote address.

 

 

The College principal Prof Rajashekar Hebbar presided the programme.

 

The quiz, essay and seminar competitions were held for the students as part of Mathematics Day.

 

The convener Dr Mahesh K B, Prof Geoffrey Rodrigues, Dr Sudhakaran T, Dr Krishnaprabha M and Vanessa Pais were present on the dais.
